Download eBooks, audiobooks, music and popular magazines to your computer, your e-book reader, your smartphone or your tablet! We have several digital services available, including the popular OverDrive ebooks and audiobooks and Zinio Digital Magazines.
There's something for everyone and all downloads are completely free for library patrons.

Mathews Memorial Library is part of a consortium of 16 + public libraries (SOVALUe) continually adding to the collection so you are sure to find a great read any time! You can download and read eBooks on your Windows PC or Mac computer, tablet, eBook reader (including Nook, Kindle and others) or smartphone. Download and listen to audiobooks on your computer or your portable music player.
Users of OverDrive® will find a large selection of bestsellers, new releases and educational eBooks covering a wide variety of subjects. Titles on our OverDrive® website are available for patrons to browse, check out and download 24/7.
Patrons may check out up to 5 titles at one time for checkout periods of up to 3 weeks. If you do not have your own eBook reader you may check out a Nook or Kindle from the library.
Adult and children's audiobook titles are available for immediate download from OneClickdigital. OneClickdigital has the largest collection of digital audiobooks, including exclusive content from Recorded Books, as well as titles from all major publishers.
After a quick one-time account setup process requiring only a library card, you can checkout and download from an extensive collection of over 4000 always-available titles. Download audiobooks to your PC or Mac using the OneClickdigital Media Manager for listening on your computer or transfering to your MP3 player or use the OneClickdigital app for Apple, Android and Kindle mobile devices.
You may check out up to 5 audiobook titles at a time for up to 21 days and they may be renewed twice. The library also has several MP3 players that you may borrow to use with this service. Audiobooks can take a significant amount of time to download (much longer than eBooks) depending on the speed of your connection. If you are using dial-up or other slow connection, consider coming to the library for downloading.
Freading is a new type of eBook lending service offering over 30,000 titles with content added weekly. You will find titles across many genres in both fiction and non-fiction. Users of the service may check out up to 6 books per week. Checkouts are limited to 2 weeks with one renewal allowed. You may download titles directly from the Freading site to your computer and then transfer them to an eBook reader. The service works with most devices including the Kindle Fire, but will not work with earlier Kindle models. Apps are available for Apple and Android devices.

Best of all, the music is yours to keep. There is no need to return it to the library! Patrons can select up to 5 music downloads per week and 3 hours of streaming daily.
