Subject: Letter of Commendation
Dear Mr. Pogue,
Organizations are made up of people, and great organizations are made up of great people. One reason Mathews County is fortunate to have an outstanding county library—one of the best in the United States—is because of the exceptional support provided by the members of its Board of Trustees (BOT).
During its September 8, 2020 meeting, the BOT was informed of your decision to resign from the board in December for health reasons.
Your steadfast support of the Mathews Memorial Library as a trustee has been a major factor in the library’s success as a community center of culture, arts, and learning. Your active participation in board meetings, to include your willingness to offer constructive suggestions and ask cogent questions, strengthened the board’s ability to accomplish its mission.
The Trustees wish to commend you for your extraordinary contributions to the library’s successful operation. Your exceptional volunteerism has brought great credit on you and the Mathews Memorial Library Board of Trustees.
Well done! We will miss you and wish you all the best in the future.
Sincerely,
CF: MML BOT
